ptcary Posted June 29, 2008 Report Share Posted June 29, 2008 For the money you would spend on 3 component sets, why not go 3-way with a 6.5 midbass, 6.5 or smaller midrange and a tweeter in each front door, glassed? That would free up some more watts for the midbass, too. You could get everything from parts-express. ...you did post this in the SQ section.... ISO Posted July 2, 2008 Report Share Posted July 2, 2008 I reccommend the Kicker SSMB series midbass. They are designed exactly for what you are looking for. They are designed to be a very slim driver to fit in tight spots. They come in a 6 or 6.5 and an 8 inch series. You can get a set off Ebay for under $100 shipped to your door and Kicker does have an authorized Ebay seller on there somewhere. Check the Kicker section of this forum to find the name of it.
