wL<3bass Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Okay well I'm planning on putting my two stinger spv35s under the hood of my car and am wondering.....would it pose any problems if I use buss bars under the hood where the batteries could potentially get wet? edit: I don't think it should but am just checking.. I don't see the difference if the battery is just sitting there by itself. Unless you plan on submerging the car up to the buss bars you should be O.K. BigPimpin91's Banging Music
audiofanaticz Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 no. Just make sure that the buss bars do not arch against any metal and short out, and that the batteries are secured down good.
jack Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 not unless you plan on drowning them and with all the fenders etc in place the engine bay really doesnt get that wet http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=29213 "sleeper build" (1) DC AUDIO Level4XL 10 (2) PowermasterD2700 batteries ALL FOR SALE TEAM DC AUDIO TEAM DIRTFLOORPOOR
wL<3bass Posted July 1, 2008 Author Report Posted July 1, 2008 k thats what I thought the stinger batts come with a metal shell and that are going to be mounted in a custom battery tray (steel) and then I'm going to secure the batteries with something so they don't "hop" out of the metal case and arch off my hood.....my road is pretty bumpy. edit: Thanks!
