deafyT
i've snapped screws with 12" xxx' as well...but it doesn't mean that xxx is so fierce that it terrorizes something denser than MDF. it just means i got too froggy with the makita. try it out. mount a sub, inverted even, leave the screw just a little bit loose and wang the hell out of it. EricR
david don't waste your time bro, its like arguing with a brick wall lol jp i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? 01 S-10
So i have had my system hooked up for about a month now and i went out there and moved my box a lil bit and my sub falls out of the box. ~digital~bass~
Broken screws has nothing to do with how loud the sub is. It means you used crappy screws at wal-mart in a box of 200 screws. Get some good # screws with fine thread and see if it breaks. Car Audio + Bodyboarding/Longboarding = LIFE!!!

Drywall screws arent meant to take that kind of punishment agian I say T-Nutz FTW
