AI James
Sounds like a similar problem to what beatitouttheframe was having. Read through this post and see if it doesn't help any http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/forums/in...hp?topic=2596.0 very similar to his problem... when i start my car... starts up fine... when the car finally warms up.. it shakes pretty hard "as if it was idleing too low"... "as if it didn't have enough oil"... well... when i gas it.. the car has a delay... like when i floor it... about 2--4 seconds later it will jump like crazy and then idle off or just die... i can't find a damn local show with a o2 sensor so i can adjust it... and the car's power is very weak... and... when i slowly gas it... it shakes like its about to shut down "sometimes it will... sometimes it won't"... any ideas or suggestions or questions to the answer ? BTW my car is a 425 7.0L V8 and the carb is a elderbrok (sP?) 700 and my friend just put it on.. but doesn't know how to adjust it correctly.. FTL.. ever think about paying the 80 dollars diagnostica dealership charges and going from there?

str86diesel
If you stomp on the gas and have a delay before anything happens, more than likely your carb is set way to rich. Quote 2k6 Dodge Ram 2500...CUMMINS POWERED - SOLD

Pokey
Yes rich being too much gas. And if you found a Chevy dealership...they should work on anything ever made by GM...including Cadillacs.
BURRITO
or you could find you a honda or toyota dealership.... and trade that cadi for a camry or a accord! japanese cadilac FTW :matrix: Quote Barretto MotorsportsTeam RFCTeam CHMTeam SMD "Blow Sand"Live Your Life Without Boundaries... http://www.jeffbarretto.acnrep.com/d_oppor...A=US_EN&BW=
Pokey
    .....that's just wrong man. You never ever trade in an american classic for an import. Even if the caddy is old, nothing special, runs bad, and way too big for most folks to drive.
BURRITO
my toyota was built in the USA, by americans! but you are correct that cadi is an american classic and i would never hate on the good ol US of A!
