ChevyBoy
its all about the box. you have to make the box according to the accoustics of the vehicle, damn i almost sound smart. ive had boxes where they sound good in the trunk then take it out and put that same box in the backseat and bleah it sucked. ive done the same with my truck by switching car boxes for the ones made for my truck and had pretty much the same results. my point is you can do it but it cant just be some random box in your backseat, unless you get really lucky. besides if the car was breakin down like you say i wouldn't waste time putting that good of a system in it. specially since your gonna rip it out soon anyway!yea im saying it kinda has to be built for where its gonna go. not just something thatll fit anywhere lol. positioning is the most important thing. You were gonna fit 2 18"s ported in a trunk of an accord?read the last few posts. Eskii
Put the T-S Parameters into bass boxpro, and it'll tell you what the driver is optimised for. The Q's and BL's are similar in power rating, but BL's are obviously ported only subs... audiofanaticz
A BTL in the back seat of a trunk car is going to sound like dickhole. Like seriously its going to sound like shit if the trunk isnt sealed off or its not in a wall. With it just sitting there its not going to sound good at all. Not totally true. Looking at it through the trunk. so yea, 2 18 aa havocs, no wall, big box, subs up, ports firing into trunk. burped a 150+ at the first show, and tuned somewhere in low to mid 30s iirc. video of it here. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...ideoID=34015750 http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...ideoid=33827017 http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...ideoID=34250897 and his new ride, same subs and amp http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...ideoID=39815065 Hes been building boxes non stop trying to get the new ride louder
