Birth Sheets Are Useless?!?!

From my experiance with Birth Sheets, Alot of them are pretty close to being dead on from respected companies like Zapco, Kicker, Powerbass, Fosgate, Phoenix Gold so on and so on.

Its the low grade amps that inflate their birthsheet numbers.

I am 99% positive that RF or ANY respectable amplifier manufactor has the proper tools to get real world wattage. If they didnt they wouldnt have been in business as long as they have.

I have alway's liked how Zapco does their Birthsheets, They do RMS power and Burst power (being real world numbers) not over inflated ones.

Posted Image for example

I haven't honestly messed with any of the newer RF products but I know they are a Quality company and have been around since the 70's the Car Audio shop I worked for in 93 was solid RF and Kenwood dealer Those old School Beetle amps kicked much ass.

For what ever reason it is very common for t2000's to have a higher 2 ohm rating then 1 ohm. It only happens on the T2000's...

they are innacurate for the fact that they are actually tested at 4 ohms and the 2 and 1 ohm ratings are calculated based on the output of what it did at 4 ohms and the factors which produced it.

I have been told by someone at Rockford that they DO NOT test every amp. Some amps have "calculated" wattages on the birthsheets rather then real bench testing numbers. I have no way to tell if this is true or not but I could believe this to be true. For them to test every amp that comes off the production line would take a lot of time which i don't think a large company would want to do.
