eaglescorpio1
killed one of my 15's, well, its on the way to death. There is audible destruction going on. Anyways, got the other one left, gonna put it in my brothers truck. May everyone have a moment of silence for one of the last kove armageddon kmg15's out there. 10 year old sub, served its purpose. Loud as f*ck, and sounds good doing it. Team built from here on out!!!! BIG things to come......... Missing link is the shite!!!

eaglescorpio1
zoMg!!!!!!!!!!! Not trying to be a dick, but what does that mean? I have no clue what zomg means. Wonder if you could find a recone for it? From what I understand the powerbass pbx's were the same exact specs and measurements for the soft parts and the motor structure, but I have not been able to find a single spec on the old school kmg 15's!!! I even had the enclosures built blindly by a shop who dealt the koves 8 years ago and still had 2 15's (which I bought) from then, and had them build the boxes to my specs. Basically the largest sealed enclosures I can fit in my trunk!!! But the sub is not blown. It is broken!! Where the cone meets the spider assembly, the cone broke away, in turn creating the obnoxious sound while pounding, and thus, the stress upon the parts while doing so, broke the tinsel lead at the spider/cone junction, thus breaking the circuit to the voice coil. If only I could find a recone. If anyone can find the info possible to get a recone, please help, also I need a recone for a kove armageddon kmg-k 12" sub. Got one of those too. And the coil is toast. The coil on the 15" kmg-15 is fine. Its the cone/spider junction that gave. I know I can ca glue the junction, but the tinsel lead/coil junction at that point has been broken. Don't know how to fix that, considering the tinsel lead is woven into the spider and connects at the cone/spider junction. Too little room for error. Guess I have nothing to lose though. SBranger
I have also heard that the TREO SSX is the same structure of the Kove. only problem is, Treo wont send out recones, you have to send the woofer in to have it done.
