d18
Well I know sundown only issues a warranty for amps that fuck up when playing @ 1ohm... But my question is... @ 14.4v whats the probability that you'll blow a 3000d @ .5ohm when burping for 2 or 3 seconds? Anyone have some input? sundownz
Probability is very low. Quote - Jacob Fuller - Owner, Sundown Audio - Sundown Audio on FACEBOOK - Please DO NOT PM ME -- use my email address -- [email protected]
Stephen
iirc they use to be covered for .5 ohm its not that the amp cant handle it, peoples cars/charging systems cant back it up. Quote you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. sundownz
People do burp them at 1/4 ohm but I do not endorse it. Regardless, the guys doing this generally really know what they are doing so rarely have a problem. Derrick824
In my experience they start to get protection happy at .25ohm and you better have one helluva electrical system to even attempt it. They do love .35 though (at your own risk of course). Edited August 13, 2008 by Derrick824
