Sealing Up A Box

what do you guys use to seal the inside edges of you box besides resin. like what calcking or silacone?

i've used silicone,paintable calk,contruction adhesive.

I use a synthetic silicon called Dow Corning 795. We use it at work to seal metal roof seams. It stays exposed to the elements all year and have I never seen a failure in 5 years. Don't know if you can get it at home centers. The good thing about it is it is fully synthetic so you can put it on the seams and drop the subs right in and not worry about the surround eating away from the curing fumes.

got a home depot, i looked when picking up my wood but there was so many to choose from i wasnt sure if there was a popular one that people use to seal there box.

just get a good silicone and call it a day

smaller box, silicone is probably the easiest. For my wall, I used construction adhesive, then resin and fiberglass, then bedliner paint.

I use liquid nails and wait for it to cure for a few days.

I use Silicone I or II. Drys in 30 min(same amount of time to carpet a small box),drop the subs in and your done.

PL400 4 bucks a tube and very strong.
