BigPimpin91
usefull post thanks, checked out some songs I got from utube, no way im goin to use them anymore lol clippin? hahah http://img709.imageshack.us/f/clippin.png/ I would zoom in on the waveform a little more to be certain. Just relying on audacity to tell you if its clipped will only do so much for ya. BigPimpin91's Banging Music

Decaf
Oh shit, Decaf said 95% of pressed CDs are not clipped and p2p is where is resides! He was on one back then! hahaha Live and Learn, LOL. A lot has changed since then as well. So if downloading a cd from online, would it be clipped? Without looking at the song on oscope or audio software it would be a guess at best.
Baydestrian
So if downloading a cd from online, would it be clipped? The source doesn't matter, its in the production. 2015 Mazda 6 JVF Customz 4.0 Proto 15>Wolfram W4500 @ .5ohm 2 Sundown Neo 6.5 + 2 CT Meso Tweeters (Front) x Kicker KS6.5 (Rear)>JL Audio VX400/4i NSB-AMG35 (front) / 40ah Lithium Headway (Rear) built by Erni Audio & Electrical
VIP3R
I am not sure if this has been posted, but in the newer versions of audacity, you can go to view > show clipping. Red lines will appear where it clips. 2 Sundown Audio SA-10s Box built by Speed of Sound Kicker 1500.1 Infinity Ref 475a Rockford Fosgate T1682c 6x8s Pioneer Premier DEH-510UB XS Power D6500 Stock 130amp Alt Big 3 Build Log

Baydestrian
@Viper, this has been covered in the other clipping threads. Show Clipping is pointless, don't rely on it at all. Play song in Windows Media Player. Right cilck main screen and choose visualization>Bars & Waves>Scope. Then just watch for the flat spots. Clipping won't instantly destroy your subs, just remember what songs clip and be smart with the volume. A clipped signal from your headunit/amp is worse than clipped audio. I honestly worry more about clipped sublines than I do clipped kicks. Never play a song that is distorted from clipping, best example being Gucci Mane "Swing My Door" 2015 Mazda 6 JVF Customz 4.0 Proto 15>Wolfram W4500 @ .5ohm 2 Sundown Neo 6.5 + 2 CT Meso Tweeters (Front) x Kicker KS6.5 (Rear)>JL Audio VX400/4i NSB-AMG35 (front) / 40ah Lithium Headway (Rear) built by Erni Audio & Electrical
