Bass4Lyfe Posted August 26, 2008 Report Share Posted August 26, 2008 My new 250A alt comes Wed at the latest. I'm getting it installed Thursday and doing the "big 3" Saturday. Is this ok? So I will be rolling with the small factor wires but the HO alter for 2 days .... will the wires burn up? I've heard I should keep the stero and headlights / ac off so the alt doesn't put out that much current .... what do you all think? You only have 1000 watts, its not the end of the world......coulda got away with an upgraded battery and the big 3 alone. Just put it in and upgrade the wires when you get time your A/C, headlights ETC wont hurt anything either...whoever told you that doesnt know wtf they are talking about.
