It looks like you put something over the lil "hump" down in the spare tire well? you should just tape right over it.

I use tinfoil cuz IMO it makes a much better barrier than jsut tape...oyu will have a bith of a time getting a tub to pull out if you resin over a layer or 2 of tape and any of the resin manages to leak through and stick to the metal.

Now that it's taped, you can spray glue over the tape and then just evenly apply tinfoil and it should stick/smooth out nicely.

You have the right idea though...make the top box for the top 2-12's..I would leave the bottom open somwhat then when you join the top/bottom sections the total airspace will be divided evenly among the 4 subs.

Thanks bro... just ran to the store and picked up some foil... i'm about to lay the foil on... i got a question, do i need to spray cooking oil or put wax over the foil? or i can just start laying fiberglass over it?

I lay glass right on top the foil, which I tape down and smooth out with a towel to get it in all the lil nooks/cracks, an dtape it every few inches so it doesnt pull up on you or leak resin at the seams...you can sparay "PAM" or any type of non stick spray or release agent..but you dont need it.

It looks like your off to a Great start!

It seems like you paid a lot of attention to the box when you redid it, and put the ports right through the rear deck and kept the same contour of the rear deck. Props!

Those small little details sometimes makes a big difference in the sound output area.

Looking forward to seeing more pictures of what your working on now. Lsn2meboom has lots of great advice when working with fiberglassing, its nice to see your taking his advice into your build. Thats something a lot of new members dont do and play the know it all game then fail. So props again!!

Id say at least 2 layers of glass before you can take it out the trunk.

This way it is all sturdy and wont crumble when you take it out.

Then once you have it out, id put a few more layers on it.

Ive never had to glass the trunk well before, but from doing door panels, I noticed you want your mold to be stiff before you go and try movning it around, otherwise you may chance warping your part and you might not notice it til you test fit and it wont site the same as it did before.
