Well my brother is here so I'm done for the night.

I got the box probblem fixed but you guys will have to wait for another night to see that.

Everyones going to crash, so I'm back to play.

Well all I had to do was notch out the front panel of the box, so it worked out real easy and simple.

I noticed you said you dont like to spend money on dampening, if you dont want to spend $150+ for 70-100sq feet, just get double sided roofing tar paper( cant think of the name- but its identicle to dynamat) you can use multiple layers, works just as good, for about 1/3rd the price as name brand stereo shop stuff, and works just as good

like $70 for 200sq ft

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Well now the box is done and is going to work, its time to glue it, screw it, and seal it.

I love wood glue, its great stuff, so I go out of my way when screwing everything together to use alot of glue in hopes of doing as much sealing with it as possible.

Then of bead of silicone in every edge and cornner.

I was really wanting to try out LexeL instead of silicone but the day I did it the closest store was sold out.

If anyone here has used LexeL in their boxes, I want to know if it holds up better than silicone over time.

For this box I'm going with 10 gauge speaker wire.

OK I got the box done and it looks pretty good. I need to fill all of my counter sink holes and sand it down and it will be almost done.

To fill the holes one of the little things I do is use my MDF saw dust poweder and mix it with wood glue. It actually works really good as a filler.

Damn, that is how you start a build thread. ( with pics of stuff "built" if you will ) ...

good work man. Definitely would get that deadener on the floor if you are gonna stay away from carpet , or rubber factory flooring. You got some nice gear too. and a single cab with three barics behind the seat...should wang.
