i have been a car detailer for about 8 years now. get some kerosine and put it in a spray bottle. spray the sap with the kerosine and use a micro biber or terry cloth and rub it back and forth over the sap. it should come right off.

Whatever you do make sure you do not use goof off. That shit will eat straight through the clear. Lighter fluid works well and it does no damage to the clear/paint.

Ahhh, so thats why we use it everyday at my work to get sap/tar of vehicles and it takes it right off.

We use it on old cars, new cars it works wonders... :D

I'm just guessing but what about rubbing alchol.

Its safe to use on the exterior of most vehicles so give that a try and tell me if it works.

Are you using the water based one? I used the normal goof off on my Escalade and it clearly ate through the clear coat...
