He kind of built his pods like I built my 2nd set, where they can be removed if needed. I bolted mine to my door panels, I put bolts thru the insides of the pod, and then drilled small holes in the door then put a nut on the back side of the panels (I was lucky when I did mine so that if I ever want to restore my panels back to stock, there is a factory piece of carpet that I removed to put the pods on, when the carpet is on it will hide the holes from the bolts).
