hammerdown
try blowing a back tire at 186mph (just before you hit your 3rd stage of NOS) at the track not a good feeling
hammerdown
As funny as some of these numbers are....lets all remember that ALL motorcycle spedo's are Very optimistic...I have been riding street bikes for quite some time..had some fast ones..and once the spedos over 100..who knows how fast your really going..unless you go to a track with a speed gun..you'll never know for sure! * for instance my 1996 gsxr750 stock would only do a real 165ish...but my speedo would be saying 180ish! that is because of tire spin. yes yoour tire would be spinning faster than u are really going I don't pay attention to the tach on a street bike at the track waste of time

sdrawkcaB
120 in my new Mustang (its a stock v6, and the speedo only goes up to 120...) If I ever go faster in it, I'll never know... but I had it pegged. 140 and some change in my 77 Nova. (Before I put the added weight of all my audio stuff in the trunk) And in my neighbors Chevy SS (don't know what year, but its a classic) I rode passenger and we went 10.10 in the 1/4 mile at Norwalk Raceway, Ohio. I'm thinking that run was maybe 143 mph. I don't get the chance to drive very many fast cars around here....
