nCOMP1337 Posted July 12, 2010 Report Share Posted July 12, 2010 one reason some peoples speedometer may read off or go faster than read, could be that when putting ties on that are bigger than factory settings, unless you edit how the speedometer reads it will be off a little, because it takes 22s less time to travel a certain distance than 18s for example and vice versa if one would put smaller tires on i had an aunt pulled over for going a certain speed limit and her speedometer actually read under the speed limit but the cop said she was going 8 mph over, she had recently gotten her tires changed to a larger size and the cop said that is most likely why the reading was off, so she took it to the shop and got the ratios (or whatever it is) fixed to read properly for the larger tire size Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
