Forevrbumpn Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Those BAMF amps I wouldnt touch, I mean, I seen the insides of them, and they look like a Old Boss 500 watt amp, nothing special, I mean if your desperate for an amplifier, and have a very low amp budget, then, whatever.... But I wouldnt expect any quality from them I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Nightshade Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 If it's going to be awhile before you can get an amp let me know. As soon as I find a job and put back a couple of hundred dollars I'm going to sell my Crunch GP 3000D. I plan on selling it for right around the price that you would pay for one of the Audio Que amps. No matter what people say about them these amps are badass. I'm doing consistant 148's off of it with 2 Nightshade 12's. The reason I'm going to sell it is because my box rise is so high I'm only getting 1900 watts to the subs. That's only 950 watts each. It's because I built the box for daily listening and I rise from 1.1-1.2 ohms nominal impedence to 3.8-3.9 ohms reactive impedence. That tells you that the amp is badass if it's making 1900 watts at 3.8 ohms. I'm going to get two smaller amps so that I can run each of them at .5 ohms. I'm planning on 2 Sundown SAZ1500D's. Since I can run one to each sub at .5, I'll get less impedence rise at each amp allowing me to get more power. Sorry to explain the whole situation here, but I figured I'd tell you why I wanted to get rid of the amp. Like I said it's not cause it's bad or doesn't bang, it's because it isn't giving me my optimal configuration that I need. Plus I'm a member of Team Sundown and I can get a good deal on the amps that I want. It would actually be better for me to run the 1500D's than buy another GP 3000D since that would be too much power for the Nightshades in a daily setup. Like I said the amp will probably go up on here first when I get the money, but if you need something like it soon let me know and we can talk about it. 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 Turbo 1 Sundown Audio SCV2000 1 Sundown Audio X15 V2 1 XS Power D3100 Audio Control LC6i Stock Deck 146.4 sealed on the dash at 37hz 2001 Focus ZX3: RETIRED Team Sundown Audio, Team XS Power, 2 time NSPL Car 3601-Up Champion, 2 time NSPL Car Hardcore ChampionHighest NSPL Scores to date:154.3db on the dash sealed at 46hz, 156.2db in the kick at 46hz155.2db unofficial on dash at 43hz

mrwigglezdj Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 the amp you showed is a giant new turd from pa, if youre going to run pa amps run the ab3000d which is a strong amp, over rated a tad but affordable and will make subs move alot. you might lack in sound quality but for spl who gives a rats ass about sq and if you decided to sell the 3000D you could get a easy 240 for each one you have Americas loudest work van2006 iasca heavyweight bassboxing champion at 150.4 db with 60second average TL8 memphis PR15s,12 memphis PR6.5's coax,4 memphis PR 1inch tweets
