what the fuck does the audio system have to do with the car still running without the key?

ummm you do know that your ignition in your car is run off a 12 volt source......hence the term "hot wiring" it may have caused the ignition to still see the 12v even after the ignition is in the off position....

and Big P that the first thing I thought I was like turbo timer?

Im thinking thatbecause some amps take a second to completely power down after being shut off the cars computer is maybe sensing a small current draw? and its keeping the car running until it fully shuts off? is this integrated into the factory stereo?

I thought scions were turbos

My buddy across the street has a turbo timer, takes about 15 seconds to shut off to lube up the turbo- ( I believe thats why it takes time to shut off)

If it has something to do with the wiring of the amp, I would just say yeah, the amp was integrated in to the WRONG wiring harness in the car

maybe, somehow tapped in to the alarm? trying to catch a remote from the deck?

kinda odd, but totally possible

I can see it- a NEWB mistake hacking harnesses, trying to catch a remote lead from the deck, tapping that lead in to the alarm harness on accident somehow

haha

all stock tC (iirc) have the 2.4l 4 banger which is shared with the 4 banger Camrys but they do have the factory option of TRD supercharger though..

but yeah i have a feeling that he must of tapped the wrong power wire/source for the remote..
