SPL KID
well today i banged out the uneven imperfections in the trunk sealing. It was hit at one point in time. I bought some spray can bed liner but it just seems to wipe off. I wanted to get some herculiner but it's like $80 for the size i'll need. I'm gonna great stuff all the natural holes in the trunk area. Then fix my trunk latch so it seals closed once again (moved after fixing the pushed in areas. What do you guys suggest to use to deaden back there thats pretty inexpensive.....besides concrete. Concrete sounds promising but I think I would need alot! Boon
Ever thought of deadening it with a proper deadener like Dynamat? Also remember if you use too much great stuff it puts you into Super Street for dbDrag if your car ever gets scrutinised. 10.x volts fo' life! Twisted Image
just a few suggestions. Try subs up and port up. Worked well in my GF's civic. She ws able to pull 153.5 and consistant 152's out of her civic running 2 12's and 2 kx1200's tuned at 53-54hz and burping 56-57 hz The old street box was tuned to 32hz with 2 10l7's and a single zx1500.1 She ran this setup running usaci Street beat and was consistant in the 143-144db range while playing late night tip and some low yin yang stuff. wish I could give exact box specs but we were using entirly diffrent equipment then you www.batteriesareus.com Home of Audioforce and The V Batteries USACI Credentials 2009 0-1000 Trunk World Record 154.0db 2009 1001+ Trunk World Record 153.2db 2007 1801-3000 Pro Stock World Champion 2007 1801-3000 Pro Stock World Record 2006 1001-5000 Pro Stock 2nd Place
quakecitystudio
He's something different: 4 subs mounted isobaric style with a slot port tuned to 38 hz, maybe.... You don't see that many isobaric setups due to their drawbacks but you never know... Bass Music Producer • Photographer • Graphic Designer -------------- Deep Sector Boom... Boon
That fails, totally. Ignore it, if we're honest. You're 3db down for the same power for a start due to using isobaric and 38hz is going to give you shitty numbers on the termlab. It's not like you're short on volume so why anyone in your situation would even consider isobaric is beyond me. EDIT: You don't see many isobarics because they're rubbish and have very few sensible applications. 10.x volts fo' life!
