bass_4_ever Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 hey everybody, I'm trying to make a decision between 2 Orion HCCA 15s or 2 Fi BTL 15s in my VW Golf. I was reading a few of the specs from the Fi site as well as the Orion site....seems like the Orion gives 32mm Xmax while the Fi only gives 16mm Xmax. I dont have much room to play around with since my hatch is 8.5 cubic feet from top to bottom, side to side. I still need room for an extra battery (which might go where the spare tire is) and amp(s). What subwoofers would perform better in a 3 - 3.5 cubic foot box? I'm also trying to find a nice amp to power these beasts...anybody have any idea what to go with? I've read that the Rockford T40001BD (1) or T20001BD (2) would power them nicely. Anybody have any other suggestions for amps? Cheers! Andrew

bass_4_ever Posted October 2, 2008 Author Report Posted October 2, 2008 im planning on getting a 240-260 amp alternator as well as a kinetiks 2400 in the back and perhaps a yellow top in the front. Havent decided too much on what im going to do with the front...all depends on the budget.

I like the orions and they look like they perform well, but in the same boat, not as many people have them so you don't really know. Anybody have any other suggestions for amps? Cheers! Andrew The extended coil option on those BTL's will take em' out to 28mm Xmax. I have a T2k on each of my BTLs and they love it...
