Haven't gone into the attic..

Every bulb we've put in there does the same thing.

:threadjack: i think i broke a water pipe above my bathroom a few months ago cause it started to leak like 10 minutes after i finished beating :/threadjack:

but its probably a bad ground, and it loses whatever little connection to ground it has when it rattles from the sub's

some girls at a local sorrority called me to fix the same thing, hallway dome light flickered if someone ran up the stairs. i took it apart and it looked like one of the soldered on connections to the socket was bad, i kinda just bent it in with a screwdriver and called it a day cuz im too lazy to play electrician in the middle of a friday afternoon, works fine now, no more flickering.

if its the kind they had, where its a base and a plastic socket mounted parallel to the cieling where the bulb goes, try wiggling it.

there are a few things that could be the problem,

1. bad switch or going bad =$.50 replacemt

2. bad light assembly and just needs to be replaced due to age and over heated internals $7-15.00

3. rodent has half way chewed thru the wires $take loan out and let the pros deal with that crap lol...

lol ghosts....

if you have a decent knowladge of elec then if it does need the wire replaced its not hard to do or expensive, maybe 35-40 dollars for a roll or romex and junction box (if you have to splice into the wire) and shouldnt take but maybe a hour or 2 to complete, but i would do the switch first and then the fixture then the wire when all else fails
