Gq85 Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 What's up guys looking for some help on choosing a new H/U for my bro. he just bought a new vehicle and want to give him a good H/U as a gift. So far I'm stuck choosing from either the Alpine CDA-9885 or the Pioneer DEH-9800BT. I'm open to other H/U suggestions. Looking to spend between $200-$400. What do you recommend?. Quote
Coolwazabi Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 what kinda features you looking for in one ?? Quote
Gq85 Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 Any H/U that has a Preamp Voltage over 4volts. Two or more Preamp outputs. Able to play Mp3's and some type of built in EQ that will let my bro. fix the sound. That's pretty much it. Quote

Gq85 Posted January 11, 2007 Author Report Posted January 11, 2007 Not exactly a big fan of JVC. My bro. took a look at it and didn't like it. Originally I was going to surprise him but decided to let him pick it out. It is going to be his H/U so I might as well let him decide which one he wants. Don't want to end up buying him something he ain't going to enjoy. His leaning towards the Pioneer so far as well-told him about the Eclipse H/U's but those are pretty expensive. Quote
