a_steezy Posted October 8, 2008 Author Report Posted October 8, 2008 thanks guys, i'm a little retarded at this, but it's saying the whole 50hz test tone thing.. how would it work on normal music??? lets say like 'put on' by jeezy, keeps solid notes through, not sure what they are though, would that work to set it and not really worry about the whole test tone thing? alvitae Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 That's a great chart. Is using that method best for daily and spl/comp both or just daily? I've been doing it by ear which is probably why I have a few "paperweights" laying around. Now I know how to do it the correct way thnx
Torres Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 you do NOT want to do it with music. the notes are not solid or pure enough. you want a clear solid note, 50 or 60 hz will work. jeezy may sound like it's a solid bass note, but only because it's constant, not solid enough, and may not be a high enough tone. putting a test tone on repeat is much easier as well EDIT: it's fine for comps as well. you're still just tuning the amp for the power you want
reinke Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 i was told by a pretty knowledgable person not to use that chart. that i should use my ear. he said that is is not accurate is that true. ( i use the chart btw) ----reference's---- meade916
