I have the compustar equivilant to the 791, it is called 2WFMR for the remote, idk what the brain is called.

I want to accomplish the following by my remote

1. turn on radio

2. control windows

-Now for the radio i have a relay and i think i'm supposed to run a constant to the relay and have the brain accy. as a trigger to power the radio.... does this sound somewhat right?

-for the windows, i know directed has a module you can buy, but what about compustar???

Any help is greatly appreciated!! thx

yeah, i think there is a way i can press the aux button to turn it on, that would be best

I've been reading that the DEI window module will work to roll up and down my windows, does anyone know how to wire it in???

not sure how to wire the module in. ill be getting one sometime too. but to turn your radio on (megalo helped me out with this) you need to find your accessory wire. should be an orange wire. get the manual out and find out which 1 is your accessory wire. then wire that to the red wire in you cd player harness.

that makes sense, but cd players may draw more current than the acc. is meant for, so i should probably use a relay for that, but let me know when you figure out the window thingy :)

according to megalo, the one "harness" it runs out of, is a relay. im not sure if that actually powers the cd player though, or if it acts like a remote for an amp. just sends a signal to it, and it powers on.

the window roll-up/down modules are very easy to install. the directions that come with them tell all.  they basically go inline with the motor wiring to the window regulator.  i would not recommend rolling down the windows with the disarm feature though.  put it on an auxillary output from the remote.  roll-up with the arm/lock function still.
