SJClark09
I'd say the best thing to do is pace yourself...don't just jump right cause that's what will create problems. take it easy and absorb all the knowledge on the forums. I've been reading for close to 3 months and I still havn't done a single thing because I don't wanna mess up Edited October 20, 2008 by SJClark09 Quote Who ever said nothing is impossible never tried to slam a revolving door. alvitae
Lol 800 watts, personally I think that's a little bit 2 small Done right 800 is louder than a person would think, I have 850 and do low 140 db's on a bad day with 2 12's in the trunk. Term-lab. These guys are giving good advice on starting small. I went and upgraded subs a little while ago. took me two days to have em locked up tight. you could have stood on them and not got them to move lol. I'll probably blow my next ones as well. As far as shaking I don't have a mirror anymore and I have to sleep with the t.v. and fan on because my ears ring. Driving down the highway when I hit the volume looking through the windshield I can see the glass doing waves like an ocean.
Nightshade
A ton of power is not always necessary. I'm giving each of my 12's 950 watts rms and I'm doing 148's in my Focus. I'd love to see what my car would do if I had 1500 watts rms per sub :hairtrick: It will come soon enough when I'm running a SAZ1500D per sub at .5 ohms. -z71.
Lol good friend of mine has a 1500 watt amp, not sure what one but its pushing 2 kicker cvr 15's in a green z71 - ported. Sounds good but the cvrs IMO dont do very well w/ anything lower than 25 hz none the less the glass is in a "wave" as well Edited October 20, 2008 by -z71.
