Hmmm. Is it bad if I add the terminals to my 0 gauge by crimping and than a few weeks later decide to go back and add the solder?

a polishing wheel would do it if you have one.

So do I understand right? You must use rosin core solder when doing this? If so that explains why when i tryed using acid core it did not work!

Another thing I personally like to do is to wrap a wet rag around just underneath the terminal. Basically at work unfortunately we don't have any small torches so we need to use the big fatboy ones. The wet rage below the terminal prevents the solder from running down the wire too far and making it all stiff. Because the torches we use heat a lot more, the rest of the wire gets really hot too so the solder runs down. So yea, if you have nothing but a big torch you can wrap the wire up haha.
