Jextel Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 I have been thinking about getting 2 16v batteries for the rear of my car..The thing i was going to use the 12v side of the battery for connection to the front battery and to run the mids and highs amps and wat not then use the 16v side for the connection between the 2 batteries in the back and to power my hk401sx's(since they can take 17.xxv from the factory) watcha guys think? http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3042878TEAM DEADLY HERTZ "GET LOUD OR DIE TRYIN"only the loudest will survive.

If you are reffering to 3-post batteries, they won't work like that. You would still need a 12 and a 16 volt alternator to charge them properly. 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]
sactownstang Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 The 16V don't charge the whole battery I take it?

The whole reason why they made 3 posts was so you wouldn't need 1 or 2 step down modules to add to the expense and so you could only run one alternator if that was your choice. I have heard that from Kinetik tech support. Ask the manufacturer direct and they can probably guide you into the best set up for your situation.
