Sounds like you got a great foot in the door w/ that boat opportunity.

Great idea too, practice when you can and just apply that to the audio world and you'll be set. Take notes from pops and grampa too, I learned a lil bout tools from my Gramps too when I was a really little kid and I just kept at it.

Last time I went in for new tires, the guys (at Americas Tire Co. on Arden here in Sac) cracked one of my plastic center caps.

Sadly, those rims are/were discontinued and I looked/called around and nobody had or could even get new caps.

So, after the guys at the shop were IMO VERY cool about it, tried a couple times to repair the cap and actually got it to stay and fit right...it came off about about 2 weeks later while I was driving, never to be seen again.

The guys at the shop (In a very professional move IMO) offered me a new set of wheels at COST, and they actually threw in some new chrome, dometop lug nuts and did the swap over (only 3 month old tires to new rims, warrentied out one tire that had a nail) and waived the labor.

Very nice guys IMO and decent prices from what I've seen unless you have a "hookup".

So here's the new stuff I got-Same Kumho 40 series tires.

Rims are American Racing Casino 16x7 and I know they LOOK a lil smaller but I like em and the folks that have seen em so far say better than the old ones so I'm happy w/ them.

yea I buy all my tires there bro, they rock, when I still had the Mustang I lost the key for my locks they removed the locks for free even though the ruined 4 sockets getting them off.

those guys are hands down the best tire shop in sac IMO.

Like I said, we would ALL prolly prefer 17's or 18's on it but I couldn't really afford to upsize again right now, as is I put these on their GE money credit card since it's 6 months interest free i can pay it off in smaller chunks and still have $$ for tuition and books. Technically I didn't NEED new wheels, it's just my opportunity to get THE rims I've wanted for a while at Cost rather than double that so I fig'd I couldn't pass up the offer.

I think MSRP on each wheel is $215+tax

They totalled $741.32 (and thats with them waiving the mount/swap of the tires/$45 locking dometop chrome lug nuts, and they warrentied out the tire w/ the nail for a brand new one)

Great guys IMO like DAVID mentoined AWSOME service.

sidenote-Last time I was in ther for tires, the guy pulling my car onto the lift noticed my underbody lighting switches, and before he lifted the car (which would have destroyed the side led bars) he checked with me and then lifted the car via floor jacks with out bitchin me out for not mentioning it.

One of the led bars was cracked so i would't have cared and was planning to pull em off, but it's that kinda attn to detail that keeps me shoppin there.

I would recommend them to anyone in Sac.

The other night some of my boys had a photoshoot (Ken w/ the Black '90 300zx cpe is a Photographer)

Here's some shots of my car-I rushed home after work to clean it as it was FILTHY and spent an hour in the garage with Meguiers Quick Detailer hittin every inch.

Here's my fav shots, No photoshop involved just nice lighting up on top of the parking structure at Sac State.
