jonathancullen89
thanks james for fixing that picture!!! is there a certain angle that the subs perform best at? because of that angle should i also angle the port close to the same angle just because of airspace, that is if its that long idk. this is going to be a groundpounder, im going to be running 6 15" re subs off a huge amp at 1.34ohms i believe i calculated it at, would i loose alot of decibles by tunning it really low? i do compete but i dont like high tuned systems. right now mine is tuned at about 33hz and i love it but ive had it tuned lower and that had better sq i thought. what are everyones clamshells tuned to? Sampsonite
I'm at 38 hertz until I mock up a removable slot port. I want one at 30 hertz Quote --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
jonathancullen89
im also planning a removable port sumhow, so that angle wont affect anything right? along with my other question about angling the port is that a good or bad idea. Mark LaFountain
It sounds pretty bad ass for a lil system. Would love to try eight though. you call that a "lil" system lols I'd hate to see what you consider a big system. Charger
Mine's tuned to either 33 or 35Hz. Somewhere round there. But it does drop low low! I wouldn't angle the port. That slope, from the rear window is undesirable. I would try and get the whole clamshell as symetrica as possible so the top row doesn't load differently to the bottom row etc, Quote Previous 150+ daily rides: Volvo 240 wagon 2 x DD Audio 9915s walled, Isuzu Trooper 6 x DD Audio 3515s walled clamshell, Lexus LX470 2 x Kicked Solo X 18s, Lexus LS400 4 x American Bass HD18 walled SMD - System of The Month August 2008 My Youtube Videos
jonathancullen89
if i did that it would look be crazy, id have to angle the bottom also and that would take away alot of airspace. any ideas lol Quote 1992 cavalier build 1992 blazer s10 kenwood cd hifonics hfi2500d 6 soon to be 12 12" hifonics hfi12d4's shit ton-o-wire Blurred Vision Audio Team SMD feedback/refs. clicky!-
jonathancullen89
alright its pritty much set in stone, i have a few people interested in my stereo and some even the entire car lol, no matter what is happening a new system is going to be in line for me. at least 6 15" subs. if i keep this car i am going to try it with the angled rear, i dont want to but there is no other way i can avoid it. if i sell all my equiptment before winter im going to ordering everything right away so i dont spend the money on something else. ill keep my wall of four 15's during the winter then re-build when its warmer out.
