Eskii
Been working on designing an enclosure for 3 10" BL's running off a T4k. Came up with an enclosure of net 1.5 cubes. Tunned to 32, it has 2 ports of length ~11.5" and total area of 18" square Any suggestions on errors or areas for improvements?? AI James
you dont think a half cube each is a little small for them?
Eskii
Well it's 1.5 with an ass load of bracing etc, so i can work with max 2.4 cubes. Just want it tight so i can feed ~1500W to each. I believe that's a fair amount of power for at BL 10. What's yours suggestion for net vol?? AI James
well being that they are 1500rms subs, the recommended box sizing from Fi would be where i would start at, your half a cube net is going to make the subs bery inefficient. they should nbe able to take the 1500 rms each without you miniaturing the box it you absolutely cannot get anymore room ai would advise against using 3 10s of BLs
Eskii
fair call... back to the drawing board! perhaps 0.8 cube could work with the T4k amp, or step up to more power?? Could i run 2 amps strapped to 3 subs (3 VC per amp), or is that not advisable.... AI James
i wouldnt do it, and .8 each is still to small imo your looking at 1 cube each at the very least, as your not going to get a true 1ohm load out of 3 subs no matter how you wire it. and the rf while being a good amp will be just barely if at all giveing the 3 rms power
