There's no comparison what so ever. You're comparing a $400 sub to a $100 sub. I would hope that the level 4 xl is louder. Not to mention the Alpine has a 2" 4 layer coil compared to the DC's 3" 8 layer one. It's just not a very fair comparison is all I'm trying to get at. Both are very good woofers in their respected price and use of application range.
