62caddy
I pretty much have my mind made up that I'm getting the Fi BTLs. I love my T10001BD on my 2 12" Alpine R-types in my work truck. It doesn't heat up at all, and it gives me a nice amount of power (granted the Rs are 500w rms...). Now, the Fi BTL (in my understanding) is good to handle 2000w rms. And the T20001BDs ACTUAL rms output is around 2500w or so. So, is this a good combo? I am going to end up with (hopefully) 2 18" BTLs and 2 T20001BD amps. Also, this should really be in the subwoofer section, but am I going to just shoot it out here real quick: Are the BTL 18" subs able to have more than 2000w rms? (say, between 2000w and 2500w?) I am quite new to the expensive audio here, so please bear with me. The best thing that I've had so far are 2 12" Alpine type R subs and my T10001BD amp in my pickup truck. Jman08
no point in buyin two 2k amps when you can get a 4k rockford for cheaper and yes btls can handle 2500 watts with ease! Youtube.com/J Hutch22
dmanson
meade runs the BTLs (4000+rms each). but leave that kind of juice to the experts(not saying you are not one). yeh if you can catch two T2ks for the same price as a T4k then i'd stick with the 2 T2ks. you can always downsize to one sub and one amp (T2k) later. besides run each T2k in master/slave gives you cootos but one T4k is less of a hassle. 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative.
