Now on to my question.There are just so many choices of head units these days that I need a little help deciding. I've narrowed it down between 2 units but any other suggestions will be appericated. The first one is a eclipse cd-5000 http://www.eclipse-web.com/cd/cd5000.html I really like the features on this unit that include a built-in eq, time alignment,8v pre-out, simple nagivation,memory stick, and several other tuning modes. The other one is a pioneer DEH-P880PRS http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/p...1159496,00.html This unit also has some nice features including a auto eq and time alignment, and has a really clean look. Please give me some imput on these units and as said above if there are any other suggestions you have post them up. What I'm looking for is a nice deck with great sound quality and plenty of tuning modes for the speakers. I also have a few questions about the pioneer deck if anyone knows. The auto eq and time alignment as I understand the deck incudes a mic and you place it in the car and it sets these features automaticly. Does this really work and does it do a good job of doing it? Justin Posted January 28, 2007 Report Share Posted January 28, 2007 I have the pionner premier 8600 and the 7800 and both are good head units. 7800 has 16 band eq. And the 8600 has 13 band eq.
