IH8PunkRok
just doin some lookin on the forums i found that these are very good SQ drivers. so i got an idea. instead of tryin to fit 2 15's wit a 3-4k rms power why not stuff this beast in a t-line in my trunk off 1k rms. it would be cheaper cuz i wont need to upgrade my electrical to power it and it should sound damn good. i just kinda want some opinions on the idea. wut kinda output could i expect from this thing? Boon
Very punchy sub and can get loud in the right setup - someone here pulled over 140dB with a idmax 12 in a ported box with about 1000w on it. One thing to note is that they love 1000w but if you go a tiny bit over that they'll burn up quick as. A setup I helped my friend with has a 10" idmax in a 0.65 cube sealed box with close to 1000w on it and it sounds very very decent. Gets loud-ish too, loudest sealed setup I have ever heard apart from my SPL box with the port blocked Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
crazyjoker2
I got a 142 or 143 out of a idmax 12 powered on a treo 1500. I would plug the port for daily use and when purped at the same settings 10db less in spl. My box was around 3 cubes. I got lazy and just tossed an 18in apx to get it louder. idmax is a cool sounding sub! C 45.
i did two of these subs in a sealed setup in a pt cruiser sounded great with about 2000 watts on them never had any problems them very punchy bass i noticed you said you were going to do a tline in the trunk ??? if you want it loud you might want to do a ported box withe port coming through the rear decklid or if possible into the rear armrest if applicable what car do you have Quote must be nice huh
