Bigg Boy
I just installed 2 us amps md2d's running them at 1 ohm, and they play fine, but they blink protect when the bass hits, checked all the wires, and grounds... I dont know what it could be? any ideas? AI James
know if its clipping? input voltage? does it do it regarless of gain setting?
Bigg Boy
4v input, no where near clipping, doesnt do it when turned down, but when i turn it up it blinks and barley moves 2 se's per amp Quote Dodge Magnum with custom 300c front end, laid out on air bags *4) 12" Cadence Daytona walled *1) AudioQue 20k *270a DC Power Alt (Dual coming soon)
AI James
sounds like warranty repair to me
Boon
Check the voltage at the terminals of the amp. Could be a dodgy fuse, too small wire, bad connection... but it sounds like a voltage issue to me. Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
MikeJ
Seems odd that both amps would do the same thing, I would be looking at voltage, I just got one MD2D for 2 SE 15" and they pound hard now. Good luck.
MikeJ
Sorry double post, what about wiring to the sub voice coils, maybe you have one wire wrong???
Ray
turn the gain down, play a test tone 45-50hz , then slowly turn the gain up. Do they get loud or only clip?? It is called a soft clip, it will do it when load is to low/voltage is too low/ and when there is to much input Quote 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz
