Right now im trying to just stay with batteries and then eventually go with an alternator. I want to get XS power batts but dont know which kind or how many. Please help bro. Im out of Vacaville CA. Im in the USAF at Travis AFB. I really need help with these batts cause i wanna get it right the first time. I have a 2006 Dodge Magnum. Copohawk Posted April 7, 2011 Report Share Posted April 7, 2011 i have a vw jetta with two rf p2 12" in a sealed box i also have a rf p200-2 amp but i think i am under powering my subs. also i have herd that if i face the subs forward it wont sound as load as if i had it faced toward the trunk. im a total new-b and still trying to understand all this stuff about car audio.. so if i have the two rf p2 subs running at 2 ohms and 250 rms max. if i got an amp that could handle 500 rms at 4ohms would it work.. or am i doing this all wrong.. Is there a two 18" setup that would just go the distance or should i settle for 4 SMD 15s. Bc I RELLY LOVE THOSE SUBS THEY REALLY TRASH TO A BASSHEAD LIKE ME. noodlebot Posted July 5, 2011 Report Share Posted July 5, 2011 Hey steve, I have an 05 civic sedan and I wanted to build a box to have my subs firing forward and to seal off the trunk. I believe (not sure though) that you had something similar to this in your civic before it got stolen. It would be a daily driver so i'm also wondering if thats a good idea. But what i was wondering is what should i tune my box too. and what would be a good plan for the box. I have two 12 inch jl 3w3s. Ive had them for awhile by the time i get the funds to do this project i might upgrade. But anyway the Vas is 2.884 cu.ft. I would like to do a ported design. I have hooked up all my systems before and am into car audio so I'm not a complete noob but never built a box so this will be an adventure for me haha. Anyways any advice you can give me would be great, Ive seen most of your videos and you've probably got some of the best advice so i thought I'd ask here. I was planning on running a 12w7 but have recently been looking into companies such as FI, Ascendant Audio, RE, and Orion. I would like to run one 12 or one 15 that is about 1000 rms. is there anything that you can recommend that will give me close to the crispness of the W7 with slightly more bass for less money?
