Neo_frog
Yeah, I see what you guys are saying now... I am fiberglassing wrong. I'm gonna try that dipping and roller method. Now, as for doubling the baffle...I just can't do it. If I bring them inward any more, I'll have no way of getting the subs in. I tried and tried different areas, but I just can't get it to work. I would actually have to rip them out and start over. Plus my router is busted and I'm waiting on another one in the mail. I did, however, brace with 2x4s. I didn't have much time today to work on it (a whole 15 minutes) cause my daughter is home, but it was a little. I'll glass around them like galacticmonkey said. Not only are they going to run this way, but I'll cross brace them too. If all else fails, I'm going to just brace to the floor also. But how would I attach the 2x4s to the floor without a pocket hole kit? Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? Neo_frog
Actually, looking at this pic close up, I AM going to brace to the floor. I see flex just looking at it. I'm too complacent about MDF and I have to remember this isn't a small system anymore. I gotta kick myself in the ass a few times to swallow my pride and add more to it. It'll be done right! dwright27
gmonk beat me to it. thats the way we did our radius panels and shit was lay some resin down and then lay your mat over the resin. that way your mat sticks to your resin and dont move on you. you could also try and staple it down? 2006 F-150 4 DC XL M2 18's Walled Daily Driver XS Power 4 DC 3.5kw Team DC Team S.P.L. galacticmonkey
Yeah, like I said, just use L-Brackets to secure it to the floor, then brace over it. You can so run 2 2x4s across the bottom and top of your box parallel to the 2x4s on the baffle for even move strength. Just screw them in, then glass the whole 2x4 to the box. When building big systems, 2x4s and lots of fiberglass come in handy.

Well that's what I normally do. What I took from what he said was the dabbing instead of brushing. I always glass then mat so it sticks. I just had the problem with it all tearing apart and looking terrible. Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions?
