dwright27 Posted December 7, 2008 Report Share Posted December 7, 2008 didnt you say yoiu was only runnning one like 250 amp alt?? those amps draw like 400 amps each iirc. so even with your battery bank, the 250 amp alt might not be able to charge it fast enough. did you try with more alternators?? maybe and more runs of 1/0 at the same time. not just that but you said but it doesnt do it off 2 amps. only when 4 amps or more are hooked up. this is because of the ammount of amps you are drawing. it seems to me the alt can charge your batteries when you are pulling the the current draw of 2 amps but once you add more you are pulling so much more that the batteries arent being charged fast enough to keep up with the current draw that the alt cant sustain. this is why steve runs 4 alts, so he can keep his batteries charged from all the amps the fosgates pull. these memphis amps should be close to the same current draw as the fosgates so i think your answer is more alts man. 2006 F-150 4 DC XL M2 18's Walled Daily Driver XS Power 4 DC 3.5kw Team DC Team S.P.L. I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
