Dont want to fry a amp. What ohm stability would i need? banginAltima
A Sundown 3000 would power them pretty good. Edit: Actually, two Sundown 1500's would be better. Or any amp that is one ohm stable. Edited December 7, 2008 by banginAltima Quote If you build it, db's will come... Zade08
You need atleast a 1ohm stable amp and if you strap 2 saz-1500ds together it has a 2 ohm load wich meens there gonna start getting hot pretty quick unless you turn them down. Im guessing this is a daily driver. I would go with the saz-3000d but your onlygonna be getting probley a bit over 2500. This is good though so you dont fry the kapton voice coils in the l7s. Over powering them is not smart. 0.02 :-) Quote Vehicle: 2001 Ford Escape Head Unit: Kenwood Kdc-x592 All out for a rebuild. New shit coming in the next 30 days. They only recommend 0.5ohms for burps. As far as a 1.3ohm load on 2 saz-1500ds strapped with a 2ohm stability Im not sure how hot it will get. Im only stating that Jake nore db-r will warrant running them lower than the recommend ohms stability. Quote Vehicle: 2001 Ford Escape Head Unit: Kenwood Kdc-x592 All out for a rebuild. Zade08
I've had 1.22 ohm final load and my saz-3000 it has never even been slightly warm . Where talking about strapping 2 1500ds at 1.34 ohms while a 2 ohm load is the lowest rated resistance. And another thing the rlp-18s that are in your avatar. How do you like them. I know there an sq sub but how are they as far as spl goes? And what app are you using them in?
