just wanted to say:

remember, fighting on the internet is like competing in the special olympics, win or lose, you're still a fucking retard

that being said, stop fighting in the thread and offer some help if you guys know so much about these subs and the proper enclosures for them

as far as that design goes, it looks ill, consider resin 45's (maybe with chop mat cut up so its kinda just fiberous junk and mixed into the resin so its stronger and not so likely to crack) to help with the airspace issue, 2 15's and a few thousand watts is alot of pressure to contain, as im sure you already knew.

and im not sure who it was, but someone did a white pickup blowthrough a while back where the part of the box in the bed was disguised as a tool bin, may be a consideration, and bolt that thing in from the inside through the bed, if someone notices theyre def going to try and snatch it, noone cuts sheet metal out of their car unless theyre doing something insane stereo wise, or if theyre just insane...and im sure thiefs know that as well.

Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build

monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now)

Airflow is a funny thing. It might work as you say but it might also cause air to roll over it and try to go up the other side. Especially if you round over the edge of it.

Think of the air as water... have you ever seen water flow over a rounded edge? You'll notice that some of it 'sticks' to the surface and follows the curve around, past the point where it would normally drop.

I don't know if air behaves exactly the same but I know that little interruptions in the airflow can have some funky effects.
