So....I decided to spray the port charcoal black so that when I wrap the box it wouldn't look weird

Had some cloth lying around....of course it wasn't long or wide enough, so I just focused on the areas of the

box that would be seen...

when life hands you lemons--make lemonade, THEN find someone whose life has handed them vodka and have one heck of a party....lol

Here's the stats on the box itself...

Total net box volume: 8.4 cubes

Volume of woofer chamber after all displacements: 4.5 cubes

So that means the port's displacement is a little over 3 cubes ---that's the price to pay for low tuning

Tuned to about 29 hz...low port velocity at peak (< 17 m/s)

**Didn't want to go much higher than 2.25 cubes per sub cuz I didn't want to sacrifice power handling

these subs are getting 3k watts whether they like it or not

actually, my gross would be 10.3 cubes. I said total net because I accounted for the extra

1.5" of wood on all dimensions. So the net volume of the box itself (incl. ports and 45s) is 8.4 cubes.
