Dale
So....I decided to spray the port charcoal black so that when I wrap the box it wouldn't look weird Had some cloth lying around....of course it wasn't long or wide enough, so I just focused on the areas of the box that would be seen... when life hands you lemons--make lemonade, THEN find someone whose life has handed them vodka and have one heck of a party....lol
AI James
Here's the stats on the box itself... Total net box volume: 8.4 cubes Volume of woofer chamber after all displacements: 4.5 cubes So that means the port's displacement is a little over 3 cubes ---that's the price to pay for low tuning Tuned to about 29 hz...low port velocity at peak (< 17 m/s) **Didn't want to go much higher than 2.25 cubes per sub cuz I didn't want to sacrifice power handling these subs are getting 3k watts whether they like it or not its gross volume, net would be after port and everything. gross is everything
Dale
I used contact cement because it adheres very well and I had a lot of it...
Dale
its gross volume, net would be after port and everything. gross is everything actually, my gross would be 10.3 cubes. I said total net because I accounted for the extra 1.5" of wood on all dimensions. So the net volume of the box itself (incl. ports and 45s) is 8.4 cubes. sorry if i worded it confusingly
