I'm guessing there's not, but I heard once that there is a module you can put into a system that smooths out clipping as it goes through it with RCAs.

Is this true? And if so, where can I get them?

Need an install? Hit me up.

You shouldn't have clipping in your RCAs unless your headunit is crappy or your source material is poor. The main source of clipping is the amplifier's outputs anyway.

not really...clipping the outputs of a head unit is quite easy in the uninformed hands just the same as an amp....combine the clipped signal from the source with the clipping the amp is doing and does nothing good.

Hrm true... I guess I'm just used to having high-end source gear with non-clipping outputs :)

Wow I actually forgot about this question.

I feel like Billy Madison answering the Industrial Revolution question. For the record, I do not have a clipping problem and if anyone's noticed, I've told other people to do the same thing you're telling me. I tune with a DMM and I know all of my numbers by heart from the charts and I use good equipment.

I was only asking if it was TRUE.

And like Billy said, a simple "no" would have done just fine.

what exactly is clipping. i know its bad watts but what causes it and why is it bad compared to normal watts.

Once or twice I have missed having a back seat / rear hatch, but all in all people love to see a walled vehcile. It just screams "i'm not fucking around with my setup, im loud"
