RamenNoodles
I was just curious as to whether or not a single person could hold a dbdrag and bassrace event if they do not own a shop. Like as long as I had a place to do it and a judge, would I, myself be able to hold one? Nightshade
Yes you could. You need to have a TL with two sensors. You also have to pay $100 fee to Termpro.com to register the event. If your interested in having a 2X or 3X event you will need to get a certified judge to do the show. As long as you only want to have a 1X event you can run the show yourself. I dont personally have a TL, but the judge who does all of the local 1x event has one along with monitors and a display board so it would look decently nice. He said he would do the show for the cheapest around than any other judge willing to do it. But im not fully sure if Matt is technically a Term Pro judge. I want to say he is, but im not fully sure. Are the 2x and 3x events more money to have than a 1x would be? Quote Diablo Audio Technologies Fi Car Audio Ascendant Audio

RamenNoodles
Yea I would like to hold a nice show out here. The shows that usually go on are fun and people are always pretty cool, but I want to give out some trophies to the guys who place well. I have like 20 paper awards and no trophies to show for it. Plus, I think if it were a higher point competition, more people would wind up showing up. And who does the entrance fees go to? Like the $40 or so in entrance fees, who ends up with that money as well? Quote Diablo Audio Technologies Fi Car Audio Ascendant Audio
HHR Ed
I was just curious as to whether or not a single person could hold a dbdrag and bassrace event if they do not own a shop.Like as long as I had a place to do it and a judge, would I, myself be able to hold one? Why yes you can do that. If you have your own dual sensor Termlab, you can pay $100 to get the event sanctioned and you can judge it yourself. You can also hire a judging staff to run the event for you with their meter setup. You will have to discuss rates with your local judge. Where do you plan on holding it? I may be able to help. You can contact him to discuss his multi point rates but they do cost more. I am working on getting more sponsors involved for some prizes in the Maryland area. A double point even at the right time can draw more people, but it is not necessary as long as the show is fun and has incentives for competitors.
