Well I know how to run a 16V system separate from the stock 12V, but would running the entire car at 16V be damaging to other components? Especially regulating it upwards of 19+ Volts?

you wont want to run the whole car off 16 volts it can damage electrical parts you probably wont want to run the mids amps on it either unless you run amps that can take that kind of voltage.

That's what I was thinking. So my best bet would be to run a separate 16V alternator and a shit ton of batteries... but once again, I'm back down to only one altenator unless I fab something up.

What do I need to make my own brackets?

He had 18 of the XXX 10000Ds? So 180,000W? That can't be right.

I don't think that amp makes quite 10000w but it's not unheard of to have that much power. How much are Edge Audio (is that the right ones?) pouring into their subs... I think it's about 140000w.

For a bassracer you can (as 2000Lade has shown) get away with a single 300A alternator and a big-ass battery bank.

You just treat the alt as a big battery charger and run off the batteries for your 30 second run.

from what I heard Bob tried the 10,000Ds then went back to the 6500s

For some reason, I just don't see those T3s taking 20k each for 30 seconds let alone daily. I was considering getting those when the new 18" came out in 09 and I've heard of 2 SAZ-3000 on each but they told me that's the extent of what they can take.

6500s sounds more plausible.

So does anyone have info on making custom brackets?

And also, if anyone knows, how long does it take to get a TermLab from their website after you order it? They haven't even charged my account yet.
