David
well he didnt completly seal it off, no air can get behind the box, if it does its a waste. you have to litterly climb in that bish and start filling all the openings with foam/ sealent, and trust me its not easy to do unless you completly gut the trunk and part of the intereior of the car. once that happens all air is now entering into the cabin only, so its gets louder. David
how do you seal off the trunk though? not quite sure what ur sayin take mdf from the edge of the box to the walls of your trunk it takes alil more than that from my experience, i went through 8 cans of spray foam, to get 100% airtight ( and It needs to be AIRTIGHT or it doesnt work properly)
Chris
yeah its just i was shocked when i heard that cuz im going in the complete opposite direction and actually removing as many obstructions between the trunk & cabin as possible. I took out the 6x9's and the 2 p3 15's are going to be firing right up through the 6x9 cutouts into the cabin since my seats dont fold down. port is up too. box is 2.5cubes per sub tuned at 30hz. i kinda figured doin it this way would also maximize airflow into the cabin without havin to seal anything off like a wall or suthin Quote 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR.
