Im looking for the beefiest hardest hitting 10 between the 2 choices. The sub will be placed in A Tline enclosure and will be run off 1000 watts continuous. Which of the 2 is a better choice i want it to be loud and sound decent while getting loud i dont want it to sound like shit with music. Decaf Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 neither, whats the tline tuned to? fi q w/bp over bl for tline on 1000w.... bl needs more to shine... and is peaky the xl needs 1500w... it has a very strong motor and would be happiest with 1500-2000w rms

But, there is more to woofer selection for Tline than your standard ported box. i like the mentioned Q w/options as well -Drew **your right Decaf- if you got the xl with 3layer in a big tline and broken in i think it would be fine. I'd rather take the extra support and work it in than have less support and bottoming the bish out. I haven't checked the T/S of either so idk which is more suited in that dept I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. Decaf Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 i think the *** trash might even be a better choice, but again, tuning of t-line matters thats why alot of us dont mess around with them, each tline should be built per sub as each sub has different specs that would change a t-lines design... they arent very good "plug and play" boxes (some have success with drop-ins, but usually not) i love the lvl4xl, and wish i would have gotten them ( ), but theres other subs that will suit ur situation better with power and size taken into consideration
