If my sale for my 1500d doesnt go through so I can get my 3000d Im considering just buying another 1500d and running each one per sub at .5ohms. Iv heard of people getting them down to .5 daily with no problems. I will be using this daily. Does any one have any input? I know with the 3000D you dont gain alot more power, but you do lose efficiency, so I think it would be a likely scenario with the 1500D as well. I have a stock 800 cca batt up front and a Powermaster D3100 in the rear of the car so voltage isn't the worst. On music I haven't dropped below high 11's, and on a burp I only drop to a 12.4 at most. I do have reason to believe that the 1500's do make about 500 or a bit more watts at .5 over 1 ohm wiring. This is because after rise you still have the amp at a lower impedence than if you were to wire it at 1 ohm. In my case I wire each 1500D at .5 ohms and when rise is calculated it's at 1.45 ohms. Now if I were to wire at 1 ohm it would probably be closer to 3.5 ohms after rise. Therefore the lower impedence actually creates more power after the reactive load is determined. Even though the amp is wired at .5 ohms the chances of it ever actually playing at .5 are very slim to none. Just be careful of the waranty, but it's not all that expensive to fix if you do burn up the power supply. What's the electrical look like in your ride Zade? Derrick824 Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Get a few electrical upgrades and watch your gain settings & volume control. A 1500d @ 0.5 will put out around 2kwatts on good electrical. Bl's do well off 2kwatts but that's a lot of power for them so you have to keep an eye out. Set everything up correctly and you'll be plenty happy with the end result. Quote

I plan on getting one realy good battery up front though. As of right now my single 1500d is very happy with electrical but I know Il need another batt to run 2 1500s.
