teknikalitch Posted March 2, 2009 Author Report Posted March 2, 2009 bump for an old thread... just some updates and was wanting some advice. i got rear ended a week ago. not horrible but they totaled it out. im gonna fix the damn thing! took the big steal me alpine stickers off. i dont know why i put those damn things on anyway. got some JDM blackhoused headlights with a HID conversion. those things kick ass. got a new motor on the way, JDM H22 complete swap. should be fun. new header, high flow cat, and catback exhaust. the advice im needing is this. i want to do a different enclosure. like what has been discussed in this thread. the thing i want to know is this... how many cubes for my power. its prolly about 1600rms. im planning on using two 4" aero ports. seeing as how i sometimes have people in the back i was thinking of porting through the rear deck. does it matter if the ports are longer outside of the box? i.e. if it called for 9" of port. do i do 9" total or 9" inside the box and whatever it takes to get through my deck? does that affect the tuning of the box? the other thing is this... ive never had a box tuned this low... I LOVE IT. but i listen to alot of rock to. would it benefit me to tune it higher? say 35-36hz or will i not see a difference from 31? i DO NOT want to loose the brutal low end of this thing. im just wanting to get louder. im thinking of doing somthing like the black sonata with two dc 15"s that was recently done on here... any advice would kick ass as usual... thank you guys! Forevrbumpn Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 car looks good. Iam not a import kind of guy, but I love that style accord and I love that deck! I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
