teknikalitch Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Well... i got my 15" BTL today. got a few pics of it and the boxes of the stuff thats already in the car. i wont be putting it in until this weekend. then ill post more pics. hope this will tide some of you guys over. List of gear: Alpine x-001 head unit iPod touch Dual 5.25" in the kick Dual 4" in the door Dual 6x9" in the rear deck Sony 800 watt 4 channel amp (midrange and midrange power are temporary until money provides) 0 guage power cable Two 1 farad Rockford digital caps Hifonics Brutus BXI2008D amp Soundstream epicenter 15" BTL with the HiXmCoil Enclosure is 5 cubes (before displacement) tuned at 31hz Load Boss 170 amp alt. ill be installing the alternator and BTL this weekend. moving up from a Memphis PR15 with the amp running around 400 watts to the BTL and actually using the amp seeing as i have a alternator and sub that can take it all. shortly i will be adding a battery in the back and getting some knuconcepts 0 gauge wire. wanna do two runs to the back and the big three. Tell me what you guys think... i hope it wangs pretty hard. my accord this is all going in The enclosure The Alternator The new family Thanks for looking! Nightshade Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Everything looks good for starters. That Brutus 2008D should work out pretty well with the btl. I don't think that it will do quite 2000 watts to it but should make it move from peak to peak none the less. One question though, why did you do woofer up and port back? Was there not enough room to do both woofer and port back? That would have been the best way to do it Imo in a trunk. I've had 11 of that avvord and love those things...all of mine are 4 doors though. Ive done 150s on music with 2 XXX 12s and a rf t4000 in a 90accord trunk subs and port facing forward. and a 151.6 on music hella clipping with a tc5400 15" wityh both facing the front. i deadened the whole trunk with 4 layers of deadener and sealed the trunk from the cabin. eager to see an accord build go down thoguh and GL getting everything you want out of it. what are you using as a front stage to try to keep up with it? Are you trying to run the rears as well? you wont hear them with that BTL back there.
